Guizhou has been known from ancient times for its extreme poverty, despite that SE Guizhou for the last 600 years or so was the final destination of a huge amount of exotic silver, which was then deposited and transformed into all sorts of adornment and decorative parts adding onto the fabulous ethnic costumes. They shine brightly in many of the tribal festivals and celebrations. The spectacular silver of SE Guizhou on the other hand will bring us back to the most unbelievable, astonishing and unforgettable shadows in human history.
