Water Birds & Raptors

– Photography Show & Lecture

Birds introduced in this presentation include many of the larger and more common water bird species around the wetlands such as the herons, egrets, ducks, geese, gulls, cormorants and the rare ones such as the spoonbills, stocks and pelicans. Birds of prey also called raptors are those have very good eyesight and feed by hunting on other creature. Most of them can kill a prey with their feet.  It includes the kites, eagles, buzzards, hawks and owls. Part of Paul’s photo collection were photographed during his project for AFCD to document the Deep Bay Ramsar Wetlands.  Paul will also display some of his best bird photographs published in the year 2000 annual report of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
